Hi All,

I've been curious as to how the recession will impact the creation of new businesses. I have always thought of entrepreneurship, but did not end up going down that path. This article gives hope, however, and explains why it is economically sound to invest and create your business in these tough economic times.

Through strategic planning, money saving, and frugality, businesses can thrive in a recession. By being smart about which avenue you take and how you use your money, you can still make the entrepreneurial gains that you dreamed of.

Read the whole article with specific tips and reasons here:

I have found them on the BBB in Nevada. Just curious if any might know about them before investing.

Has anyone ever heard of the Corporate capital Team, inc.
They say they can help me get grants for funding. The catch is that it does cost to become a member and they will seek funding for grants and apply for those funds on my behalf. They write funding request and do all the legf work for helping someone get funding. I need some expert advice. I am down to needing funding and am considering SHARK TANK on an idea I have. LOL :)

i have always wanted to start some kind of business, but never got the will power to actually jump into it. Actually, when I left the carribbean island of Trinidad and migrated to Canada 20 yrs ago, the aim was to do some some sort of Import/Export business. Is anyone involved in this kind of business?

Hi Tina, thanks for sharing your business experience. You definitely have the right attitude by NOT seeing it as a failure but a good experience from which you learned lessons that will help in your next business. I just started my own business,Be True to Yourself, to provide life coaching and workshops. Tonight I taught the first class of a six week class I'm doing using Dan Miller's 48 Days to the Work You Love curriculum. It's great material and we had a great class; my website has a link to his if you want to see for yourself what it's all about. My goal is to help people recognize and use their gifts to do whatever God put them on this earth to do - and make enough to do it full-time. For now I also have a regular job that pays the bills but is definitely NOT my calling.

Thank you for your post, Saskia. It is interesting to see how the baby boomers are a crucial part of the marketing efforts. Very interesting to see what is effective in the way of marketing to our generation. Thanks again, Jane
