I came across a fitness article that includes questions (asked by normal people) to professionals about diet/exercise. This article is specifically geared toward answering the question: "Can Lifestyle Reverse Artery Disease?" It has been proven that an optimum diet and exercise program are key to a long life. Changes in these two components can sometimes mean the difference between health and disease. Read the article here: http://www.collegesportsscholarships.com/reverse-heart-artery-disease.htm

As much as we know that exercise is good for us, sometimes at an advanced age, things can go too far. This article is written by an athlete that tells the importance of exercising based on your body's CURRENT needs.

Hi everyone: Just a brief article that I came across on Yahoo! called "7 Secrets your Body's Trying to Tell You". It has some simple symptoms and attributes listed and what they may mean for your health.

Hi Kathy: That's very true. Health is the most important thing we have, an it's important to do our best to keep ourselves well. I find it hard to rid myself of all junk food, but moderation is key. Being hypothyroid could certainly be inhibiting your best efforts, but I understand the lack of insurance issue. I think if you were hypothyroid there may be medication involved too. Here is an article that may help things naturally. Best, Jane

I do believe it is a challenge as we age , especially in our 50's , to be more conscious about our diet and exercise; also the types of foods that are healthy and getting rid of junk food in your home too. I've been feeling like I 'm hypothyroid, but don't know since I don't have health insurance to payfor the blood test. Kathy/ blesings.

Hi all! Here's an article with tips from Dr. Weil for healthy aging. They are fairly basic tips, but it never hurts to hear them again. Jane

i play recreational tennis, a sport that i learned to play about 15 years ago, when i was in my early 40's. i am now on a team of women of similar abilities. we have a 90 minute team practice once a week; and matches against other tennis clubs once a week. our team is in 4th place out of 18 teams. i would guess that the age range of players is 35 - 75. women from different backgrounds, different places in their lives, with the common thread of keeping active.

Thank you for your post, Saskia. It is interesting to see how the baby boomers are a crucial part of the marketing efforts. Very interesting to see what is effective in the way of marketing to our generation. Thanks again, Jane
